Alexanders are proud to have sold over £70 Million worth of property in the Midlands in 2019! In the midst of what has been widely regarded as a difficult market we found it extremely important to offer the highest level of advice and give more consideration to the marketing of each and every property. We have enjoyed a record year for the firm in some of the most challenging market conditions seen since the last recessionary period, and firmly believe that the local property market was strong across all sectors subject to the client receiving the correct advice in relation to the positioning and marketing of their property in the marketplace.

 

Of particular note Alexanders agreed sales on 86% of all of the properties that we listed for sale in 2019 across our operating patch at values ranging from £110,000 to £1,750,000. We saw some hesitancy throughout 2019 in the higher end of the sales market, but now that the political situation looks to have stabilised and with an exceptionally busy first fortnight in January we expect strong uptake in the local market at all levels throughout 2020.

 

It is also forecast that there will be strong growth in the property sector this year; the East Midlands expected to lead the way with anywhere between a 2.5% and 5% increase across our market. This coupled with continued low interest rates for mortgage products is likely to make an upwards move eminently more possible for buyers wishing to do so.
